Ensuring the systems Coloradans use daily are accessible, trustworthy and resilient
From distributing child support to processing secure cash assistance payments, the websites and apps that Coloradans use daily must be nimble, efficient and reliable. Key upgrades were implemented in 2025 that boosted service performance and ensured we're up to date with the latest security rules.
The Automated Child Support Enforcement System (ACSES) is a 40-year-old system used in most jurisdictions throughout Colorado to collect and redistribute child support. Our partners at the Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) frequently use ACSES and now have a user-friendly website and better mobile device accessibility. This upgrade delivered a more efficient experience to ACSES users and child support workers across the state.
Additionally, the State ID Module (SIDMOD) system was updated. SIDMOD is the system that issues unique identification numbers to people who use state benefits. This important system interacts with several other benefits systems including ACSES.
Another project underway will improve the Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) system that processes secure cash assistance payments.
OIT teams are working to improve these systems and others to help deliver secure, responsive services to Coloradans who rely on vital, life-sustaining benefits.
