Evolving Digital Government in Colorado
Colorado Digital Service
Priorities for advancing digital transformation & the GOA
As part of Governor Polis’s Operational Agenda (a blueprint to modernize state government and improve how services are delivered) Colorado is focused on transforming the digital experience across the Colorado High Impact Services (CHIPS), such as applying for SNAP, registering for Universal Preschool, applying for emergency rental assistance, or accessing mental health support.
Building on the Governor’s 2022 Strategic Digital Plan, this work prioritizes user-centered design, improved service completion rates, and a better customer experience across eight key agencies. The Colorado Digital Service (CDS) plays a central role in this effort by partnering with these agencies to modernize digital products, apply best-in-class technology practices, and ensure that government services are fast, accessible, and responsive to the needs of Coloradans.
