DENVER - The Colorado Technology Association announced today that the myColorado Chatbot is a finalist for their APEX Awards Tech Project of the Year. This prestigious award honors innovative projects that solve a real-world problem innovatively, driving value and impact as well as demonstrating meaningful collaboration and successful, measurable results.
With 1.3 million Coloradans registered users of myColorado™, the State of Colorado's Official Mobile App™, is an example of how digital technology can make it easier for residents to access state services. Key features include the Colorado Digital ID™, the digital COVID-19 myVaccine Record, Colorado Parks & Wildlife Digital Fishing, Combo and Small Game Licenses, and many more.
"As we continue to reimagine ways to make government easier and more accessible to Coloradans, the myColorado mobile app delivers on this ambition by providing essential digital government services and exemplifying how agencies can collaborate to make more state services available digitally," said David Edinger, Chief Information Officer. “I want to thank the Colorado Technology Association and APEX Awards judges for recognizing the state’s innovative use of artificial intelligence via the myColorado chatbot to effectively support Coloradans, saving time and money.”
The myColorado Chatbot, named CoCo, offers residents multiple pathways to seek assistance depending on their personal preferences or needs from directly messaging with CoCo, or being directed to a live agent chat, phone call, email, or the myColorado website. CoCo handles about 30% of requests for help with common questions or problems which has reduced the wait time for those needing advanced technical support from a live agent, thus delivering a better customer journey for all.
Award winners will be announced on March 8 during the 2024 Colorado Tech Summit + APEX Awards.
