DENVER - The launch of the myVaccine Record feature within the myColorado app has been selected as the 2022 APEX Awards' Tech Project of the Year. Hosted by the Colorado Technology Association (CTA), the award recognizes an innovative project that solves a real-world problem by outlining strategic objectives, demonstrating team collaboration and overcoming obstacles to meet goals.

“The myVaccine Record is a part of Colorado’s balanced and innovative response to the pandemic, so we are proud to be recognized for our transformative work at the forefront of digital innovation. The myColorado™ app is part of our commitment to ensure every Coloradan can live a healthy life and thrive in our beautiful state,” said Gov. Jared Polis.

Offering residents a simple way to show proof of their COVID-19 vaccination so businesses can quickly verify, the groundbreaking feature was a result of a partnership between the state’s Office of Information Technology and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. More than 615,000 Coloradans have accessed their digital COVID-19 vaccine record since myVaccine Record launched in August 2021, and myColorado app downloads have increased by nearly 400 percent.

Awards were presented at the APEX Awards luncheon on Thursday, Feb. 24, 2022.
