DENVER — The State of Colorado announced new features in the myColorado mobile app to support Governor Polis’ order to stay at home. The myColorado updates offer residents convenient access to COVID-19 information, 17 additional Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) services, and State of Colorado job opportunities. Additionally, Coloradans can receive COVID-19 alerts and other important information in real time through myColorado push notifications. Residents are encouraged to download myColorado in the Apple App Store or Google Play and utilize the state’s many online services while staying at home to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

“The new features in the myColorado mobile app support the practice of social distancing by providing easy access to state services from a smartphone, which is critical as we get through the COVID-19 pandemic together,” said OIT Chief Information Officer and Executive Director Theresa Szczurek, Ph.D.

While the Governor’s emergency order is active, drivers who are 65 years and older can temporarily renew their driver license or state ID from the myColorado app, even if they have renewed online twice before or have an old photo.

Residents can also use myColorado to quickly connect to 17 myDMV services, including renewing a vehicle registration, requesting a duplicate registration card, checking a title status, applying for an emissions waiver, among others. Additionally, Coloradans seeking employment can use the new State Job Search feature to check out State of Colorado job opportunities.

“In addition to providing a great mobile experience, many of the technologies leveraged in myColorado directly led to the accelerated deployment of the COVID-19 call center run by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment to aid in Colorado’s response to the global pandemic we are facing,” explained Russell Castagnaro, OIT Director of Digital Transformation.

The State of Colorado will continue expanding the features and services in the myColorado app to provide secure and convenient access to state services, anytime and anywhere. A complete list of the latest myColorado updates include:
