Sean Clark with a beard and a baseball cap is seated on a tiled bench outdoors, smiling at the camera. He's wearing a dark t-shirt, khaki shorts, and athletic shoes. Behind him is a brick wall with planters containing greenery, and to his left, there's a lush green bush. A wooden table is partially visible in the foreground. The sky is bright with some clouds.OIT AWS Cloud Solutions Architect Sean Clark is a key part of the collaboration between OIT and our vendors. He engages with vendor partners, holding them accountable to avoid overprovisioning resources, which can lead to wasted taxpayer money—or overcomplicating the architecture to the point where no one knows how to use it! He has contributed to the development of agency call center chatbots, the myColorado app and web apps for water quality programs.

Sean is recognized for exemplifying the OIT Core Value of Teamwork.

“I think Coloradans deserve to have their taxpayer dollars stretch as far as possible in terms of the technical services they receive,” Sean says.

Staying true to his spirit of collaboration, he expressed gratitude to his colleagues when asked about the recognition. Sean credited the great work and effort of his fellow OIT Cloud Engineers, who have up-skilled or reskilled into cloud engineers (Jacob Stewart, Dalton Triplett, Chris Young, Brandon Schierkolk, Matt Chavez and Ken Garcia).

“What this group has achieved should be celebrated as their willingness and dedication to learning entirely new domains has increased the team's capability and capacity several-fold,” Sean says.
